Get in on the Fun! Perform. Educate. Inspire.

When you tour with The New Old Time Chautauqua, you’re part of an incredible group of performers and educators committed to inspiring rural communities and underserved audiences across the United States.

The summer tour consists of approximately 60 touring members, who become a tight knit community throughout our 3-5 weeks together on the road. The tour schedule is a rigorous combination of main stage shows, community shows, workshops, rehearsals, parades, potlucks, and moving days. It is high-energy, fast-paced, and promises a rewarding challenge and endless fun for the right individual.

Every participant takes part in the day-to-day aspects of the tour, from shared cooking and cleaning duties, to parade planning and truck loading. Performers, educators, musicians, technicians, drivers, chefs, and organizers work hand in hand to create a vibrant tour experience.

Each winter we announce the application deadline for participating in that summer's tour. We post the application when it's ready, usually late January or February, and accept applications until the posted deadline, usually late March, and then notify applicants about a month later.

Please contact us at any time during the year, if you'd like to get involved in our year round benefits and events.
